This vintage 8 arm Marie Therese has been lovingly restored & adorned with an abundance of superb crystals that shimmer with a rainbow of colours. Beautiful scalloped amber coloured crystals, Smokey grey pears, icicle prisms and faceted buttons. The curvaceous glass body, glass arms and pretty glass dishes top and bottom and bobeche add to this elegant piece.
The whole chandelier is in wonderful condition, has been cleaned and re-wired.
Unlike the more modern imitations, there is something very special about the older vintage prisms and how they capture and reflect the light. These antique prisms/drops are weighted and lustrous, giving testimony to both their inimitable quality and considerable age. Some prisms will have natural inclusions, nibbling and age consistent ware but as shown in the photographs, none of this detracts from the overall presence of this luxurious unique piece.
